what does the regeneration of wealth feel like?

there are many ways to sustainably resource and fund the UFI across and beyond its years. the following ideas are, like everything else in this outline, meant for inspiration. our intention is to prototype multiple “business” models that we can then gift forward to the larger movement we are a part of, so it can be remixed, hacked and adapted to local needs, a bit like TEDx did for TED, just way wilder and deeper. for now, our key desire is to meet the people who feel deeply resonant with this proposal to jointly re-imagine how we move our assets and wealth in ways that are in tune with the uncertain futures that are calling us in to join forces and make the UFI happen.

  • each cohort welcomes 1-5 wealth holders who instead of setting up their own foundation, are interested in redistributing their assets directly to a collective of system transformers. they spread the costs of a cohort across themselves and put their wealth at the disposition of the t-systems labs and the initiatives they will jointly design.

In phase 2, the UFI eco-system will be in a position to competently advise individuals, family offices, cultural institutions, faith organizations and companies in how to restructure their philanthropic engagements towards collaborative system transformation.

  • many economic thinkers have made the case that given the advent of machine learning and exponential technological progress there might soon be wide-spread need for universal basic incomes (UBI). The pandemic has only accelerated that reality.⁴⁴

the UFI will gain invaluable insights and research data on how to move that conversation from UBI to collective basic incomes (CBI), which we are certain will prove way more robust and provide far larger benefits reaching from increased creativity to enhanced community wellbeing.

in phase 2, the UFI eco-system will be set up to advise governments, companies and civil sector organizations in how to effectively set free collective intelligence among their employees, constituencies and stakeholders.

  • there are multiple initiatives in the field of cryptocurrencies that are aiming at redistributing wealth and setting free our shared human potential.⁴⁵

in phase 2, the UFI eco-system will have prototyped and tested multiple ways to do so effectively and will be able to seed its solutions into those financial systems so they can spread and reach millions of people across the planet.

  • many people are longing for alternatives to the current systems in which we are trapped. they are looking for effective ways to make a difference with little time and money.

in phase 2, the UFI eco-system will be able to launch inspiring crowd-funding campaigns to engage its audiences and get more people excited about jointly investing in system transformation. the stories, user cases and proof-of-concept delivered by phase 1 of the UFI will provide our eco-system with everything they need to get the public at large engaged in new models of solidarity and innovation.

  • current educational models focusing on individualized learning models, on memorizing information and preparing workers for a 20th century economy are failing.

in phase 2, the UFI eco-system will be able to assist private and public educational institutions, retreat centers, companies and governments with easy to adopt models, policies and processes to diversify participant base, deepen learning experiences and shift their set-ups to step into the 21st century.

  • loneliness is rampant and its effects are devastating. recent studies found that social isolation significantly increased a person’s risk of premature death from all causes, a risk that may rival those of smoking, obesity, and physical inactivity(!).⁴⁶

in phase 2, the UFI eco-system can share its self-organization models open-source to inspire people everywhere to break out of isolation and create community in their vicinity. we will work towards creating a zero cost model to show that communities who review who creates value beyond monetary assets can enter into deep gifting relationships with each other that allow people to set free the time and space needed to engage in cohort-based models of collective system transformation.
